Visual Mihi 2K18

This is my Visual/Digital Mihi. I used Hyperstudio to create this. On each corner, there are pictures of things about me. In the top left corner, I decided to draw a sports sign. I enjoy playing different sports, such as, rugby, netball, cricket. In the top right corner, there is a drawing of a bible. I am a christian and I got to Destiny Church, Manukau. The bottom left corner represents my culture. I am half samoan, half maori. I can understand samoan more than I can speak it. And most important of all, My Family. In my world, Family comes first. Before anything else. I love my family and they represent me. These are 4 of the main things that represent me and my life. As you can see, in the middle, I have drawn a picture of myself. I also did a past visual/digital mihi last year too. Take a look at my past one as well.

Swift Playgrounds 1 - Reflection

For the past week now, we have been using a coding programme called Swift Playgrounds.
This is one of the many lessons that we have been given to complete. This lesson is based
around using functions and getting the right sequence together. This lesson was quite hard,
This was the only task we needed help on. So far. As you can see on the image, the character
is completing the codes that have been written down. On the left, is the sequenced codes,
that we have given the water drop to follow. To pass the level, we have had to come up with

a code that tells him to collect all of the red gems.

Patterns and Colours

This is a sheet of paper filled with different patterns. Each colour represents a pattern/multiples of some sort. Red = Multiples of 1 (Prime Numbers), Pink = Multiples of 2 and so on. We have decided to pick these colours because of the specified patterns that have been chosen. For example - Green represent 3 (Triangle) The next group of 3 is another sort of triangle but it is made up of 9 dots. 3 x 3 = 9. That is how we got our patterns, multiples and colours.

Effects of Rubbish

Our theme for this year is, "Kaitiakitanga i nga wa katoa! RESPECT!"
Which means, we are guardians over all of the environment. So, we need to take care of it.
For this presentation, we have been given a task to create a presentation or poster about Rubbish
and what effect it has on NZ and Pt England School. We had to work in a group of 2 or 3 people.
I had 3 people in my group. The other 2 people were, Angels and Fetuao. Here is our finished
task.

First 2 Weeks of School for 2K18

Wow! Surprisingly, we are nearly at the end of Week 2 for 2018! Time goes by so fast! I actually hope that this year doesn't go too fast. I am hoping to enjoy the rest of my last year in intermediate.

Anyways, first 2 weeks of school? So far, they've been awesome! I have had so much fun spending time with my friends and teachers in class, working and playing/bonding together, learning about everyone and about the new year 7's in the block. I am enjoying my new classrooms and our new tasks that have been given to us. So, first let's talk about what I did in Week 1 2018!

Week 1 2018:

Week 1? Well, school ended up starting on, Wednesday, which meant that we only had 3 days until the weekend arrived. For 2 of those days, we spend them in our home classes. We were given the privilege to learn about one another and learn each others names and what we like to eat/drink. We played a few bonding/team games outside to see how well our class works in groups. On Friday, we moved to our literacy and numeracy classes to meet and greet in our new classes. We played bonding games outside again, but this time with our Maths and Literacy classes. First week of school, was pretty fun!

Week 2 2018:

Week 2? This week, we moved into our Literacy and Numeracy classes to start our tasks for the week. The first task that I was given for literacy, was to read a text, visualise and answer the questions below. They were ok questions. But not as easy as I thought they would be. The first task for my Maths Class was to complete a presentation based on how much we could remember from 2017 (Last Year)?

Overall, first 2 weeks of school, I enjoyed a lot. It was awesome!!

WALT: Recall our learning from 2017.
This is our first week of Maths for 2018. I am really excited to blog about future tasks
that I will be completing throughout the year of 2018. Anyways, this task was given
as a test on our knowledge and how much we can remember from what we have learnt in 2017.
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy. Feel free to leave a comment down below.
